ISO 9001:2015 is an internationally recognized standard introduced by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) on quality management systems and represents the most significant audit of the ISO 9001 standard since 2000.
The establishment, application, certification and improvement of the quality management system according to ISO 9001 standard requirements is used today throughout the world and can be applied to any organization and management system regardless of type, size or complexity. ISO 9001:2015 will facilitate the future implementation of Integrated Management System, since all standards share the same structure.
Successful implementation of Quality Management System according to ISO 9001:2015 and compliance with the requirements of this standard is a widely accepted method of working which helps organizations to continuously and consistently demonstrates quality of product and service to their present and future customers, employees, partners and local community.
- Our quality policy is reflected through the establishment, maintenance and management of the state metrology system which legally meets the needs of the society as a part of the European and internationally recognized processes and contracts
- The Institute identifies, promotes and removes technical and administrative barriers to trade and metrology and promotes consistent interpretation and application of normative documents
- Our main resource are civil servants characterized by: adequate education, knowledge and competences, fluency in spoken and written English, internationally certified opportunities for assessors, laboratory competences, job dedication, legality in work and actions and discipline.
This is accomplished by:
- Extending the knowledge and capabilities of employees, upgrading laboratory equipment, maintaining traceability of equipment, conducting relevant intercomparison, improving the quality system in laboratories;
- Proving our competences through the process internationally led by BIPM and EURAMET in scientific metrology, and OIML and WELMEC in legal metrology;
- Being a member and working in the EURAMET technical committees and WELMEC working groups as well as other relevant organizations in the field of quality infrastructure;
- Membership in EMPIR and active work on metrology research projects and metrology innovation projects;
- Active work within the signed international treaties and bilateral agreements:
