The 23rd annual meeting of EURAMET Technical Committee for Interdisciplinary Metrology (EURAMET TC-IM) was held in Sarajevo on April 12 and 13. The host of this meeting was the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina, also a member of EURAMET with its representatives in the Technical Committee for Interdisciplinary Metrology and other Technical Committees of this organization.
The meeting was attended by 20 participants from the following EURAMET member countries: Austria, Great Britain, Germany, Portugal, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Serbia, Poland, Sweden, The Netherlands, Denmark, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, The Czech Republic, and Finland. Contact person in the technical committee participated on behalf of the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Apart from the Technical Committee representatives, a representative from the Russian D.I.Mendeleyev Institute for Metrology (VNIIM) also attended the meeting.
Activities and latest information from EURAMET General Assembly and JCRB meeting were presented at the meeting. Proposal for the EMN’s (European Metrology Networks) project Digitalization was discussed. New EURAMET project was proposed regarding digitalization of calibration certificate and setting up the EURAMET conference and teaching material in the field of metrology was discussed. In terms of writing and reviewing existing calibration guides, cooperation between ERAMET and COOMET is planned.
Miruna Dobre, a contact person of TC-IM from Belgium, officially assumed the position of chairperson after being elected to that position at the last EURAMET TC-IM meeting. The next meeting is planned for April 2019 in the Netherlands.
After the meeting, some participants visited laboratories of the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
