The 29th annual meeting of EURAMET Technical Committee for Flow (EURAMET TC-F) was held in Portugal (Madeira) in the period from May 8 to May 10, 2018. The meeting was attended by representatives of National Metrology Institutes (NMI) and Designated Institutes (DI) from 25 countries, members of EURAMET. The contact person in the technical committee participated on behalf of the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IMBiH).
First day of the meeting was organized as plenary session and participants were informed about conclusions from the last meetings of the BIPM working group for flow (WGFF) and European committee for legal metrology (WELMEC), as well as about the reports from the Committee bodies for revision of calibration and measurement capabilities (CMC) and strategy.
The second day was organized in the four subcommittees: Volume of Liquid, Fluid Speed, Liquid Flow and Gas Flow.
On the session of the Subcommittee for Liquid Flow, the representative of the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina presented results of the Institute's participation on EURAMET research project "Sensor Development and Calibration Method for Inline Detection of Viscosity and Solids Content of Non-Newtonian Fluids" (EMRP ENG59 NNL).
On the session of Subcommittee for Gas Flow, the representative of the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina presented the capabilities of the new laboratory for small gas flow which was established and developed in the Institute through the bilateral project with Institute of Metrology of Czech Republic.
The last day was organized as a plenary session and participants took part in two workshops for preparation of Excel files for Calibration and Measurement Capabilities (CMC) and for calculation of uncertainty budget for gas meters. Also, participants presented new ideas for research projects within EURAMET and new information regarding events and conferences related to flow and volume have been exchanged.
Next meeting of Technical Committee for Flow will be organized by the Institute of Metrology of Switzerland (METAS).
