In the period of November 21–22, 2019, in Belgrade, the Republic of Serbia, the training in the field of software testing and modular evaluation of mass meters was held. The training was hosted by the Directorate of Measures and Precious Metals (DMDM).

The training was organized as part of the Quality Infrastructure Support Project in Serbia, implemented by the National Metrology Institute of Germany (PTB). The training was based on the application of WELMEC documents in the field of software testing in measuring devices, general and administrative aspects of modular evaluation of measuring instruments and technical implementation of modular evaluation. The lectures also included practical examples concerning the modular evaluation of automatic moving scales, automatic railway scales, POS systems on scales as part of a non-automatic scales and an indicator as a module of non-automatic scales.

The training was delivered by Goran Grgić, Head of the Laboratory for Mass of the Slovenian Metrology Institute (MIRS) and Damjan Krašovac, an expert in software testing in measuring devices of the Slovenian Metrology Institute (MIRS).
