In the period from November 7 to 10, 2022, an International Timing and synchronization forum was held in Dusseldorf, Germany. This is one of the largest conferences on the subject of timing and synchronization, attended by over 300 delegates from 35 countries, including the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the conference it was discussed about systems for GNSS independent time distribution and synchronization, use in 5G telecommunication networks, requirements, current solutions and challenges, and continuous development of this field, including new applications and solutions. Representatives of large telecom operators, power grid systems, the financial sector, railways, the automotive industry, data centers, public broadcast services, national metrology institutes, as well as world-leading equipment manufacturers and system integrators from this field were present.
The conference was an opportunity to exchange current experiences, ideas, and solutions, and a way to establish new contacts with future partners. During the conference, several activities and projects were initiated, and activities were agreed upon, in which IMBIH will also participate in the coming period, including the development of critical infrastructure for the time distribution system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
