Within the bilateral Project "Extension of Capacities of the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina II" between Czech Development Agency, Czech Metrology Institute (CMI) and Institute of metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IMBiH) practical and theoretical training on verification of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) dispensers was conducted in the period from the 24th of June to 28th of June 2019. Earlier this year, as a part of this project, two referent meters, i.e. master meters, were donated to the Institute and both of them were used during the practical part of the training. “Master meter” verification method is relatively new in Bosnia and Herzegovina and this method enables the verification process to be implemented faster and better, i.e. to provide more precise and reliable measuring results.
Lecturers on training were experts from Czech Metrology Institute Jaroslav Foltýnek i Jiří Zabloudil, and other participants were from the Institute of metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina and nominated laboratories for verification of liquid fuels and LPG dispensers HERKON d.o.o. Mostar and Ivex d.o.o. Usora.
In the framework of theoretical part of training measuring characteristics of LPG dispensers were presented, as well as procedures for their verification, which are harmonized with the international recommendation OIML R-117 and Measuring Instruments Directive 2014/32/EU. Practical part of the training, demonstration of the verification procedure in real life conditions was conducted at petrol station Gazprom where the friendly staff significantly contributed to the successful realization of this training.
