The Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the Workshop on Mathematical and Statistical Methods for Metrology MSMM 2021 for the second time
Sve veća potreba za primjenom postojećih  i inovativnih matematičkih i statističkih metoda u mjeriteljstvu dovela je...

The growing need to apply existing and innovative mathematical and statistical methods in metrology led to the organization of a joint workshop on Mathematical and Statistical Methods for Metrology MSMM 2019 through the collaboration of the local Italian European Network for Business and Industrial Statistics (itENBIS), Italian National Metrology Institute ( INRIM) and the Politecnico di Torino.

The success of the first workshop and the cooperation of scientific communities such as the European Network for Business and Industrial Statistics (ENBIS), the European Metrology Network for Mathematics and Statistics EMN MATHMET, and the Politecnico di Torino resulted in the organization of the online conference MSMM 2021 on 31.5.2021 and 1.6.2021.

Some of the topics during the conference were uncertainty and measurement quality evaluation, regression and inverse models, interlaboratory comparisons, Bayesian models, simulations and virtual experiments, artificial intelligence, machine learning, Big Data analytics, digitalization in metrology, etc.

Special session was devoted to results of the EMN MATHMET Project, to the part which refers to a Quality Management System for data and software.

Representatives of the Institute held a presentation on this topic together with other project partners such as national metrology institutes of Germany (PTB), England (NPL), the Netherlands (VSL), Portugal (IPQ), and other.

Besides, in framework of the QUIERO project “Quantitative MR-based imaging of physical biomarkers” a presentation entitled „Towards a metrological characterisation of electric properties tomography” was held.
