Within the SEE QI Project “WB6 QI response to COVID-19”, implemented by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in cooperation with the countries of the Western Balkans Strategic Group (WB6) and with the financial support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) , on March 2nd , 2021, the online training “Innovations in QI Institutions and Services due to the Covid-19 Pandemic” was held.

The aim of this virtual training was to exchange experiences on innovative adaptations that the Institutions of Quality Infrastructure (QI - metrology institutes, accreditation bodies and standardization bodies) undertook during the pandemic in order to continue their work. The focus was especially on innovations that could be used even after the pandemic is over.

The event consisted of a theoretical part, a presentation of cases of innovation of QI institutions from five countries (Albania, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro), as well as a peer-to-peer exchange of experiences.

The exchange of experiences took place in three groups organized by type of QI institution (metrology institutes, accreditation bodies and standardization bodies), where all participants had the opportunity to share their own experiences and discuss innovative solutions.
