The constitutive meeting of the Metrology Council of BiH was held on January 18, 2021 in the form of an on-line meeting at which the Council was constituted upon presentation of the appointed members, and the President and Deputy President of the Council were elected by voting of the present members. Dr. Dragana Kalabić on behalf of the Ministry of Energy and Mining of the Republic of Srpska was elected as the President of the Council, and Robert Bilić on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina was elected as the Deputy President.
General Director of the Institute of Metrology of BiH, Dr sc. Zijad Džemić, Dipl.-Ing., presented the work of the Institute with the aim of acquainting the newly elected convocation of the Council with the achievements in the past period and planned activities.
For the needs of the constituent session, a draft of the Rules of Procedure of the Council was prepared, and the comments of the members of the Council on the prepared draft text were collected. The adoption of the Rules of Procedure of the Council will be on the agenda of the continuation of the constitutive meeting of the Council, which will be held as soon as possible.
This convocation of the Metrology Council of BiH was made official by the "Decision on the appointment of members of the Metrology Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina" adopted at the 18th session of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina held on October 22, 2020 ("Official Gazette of BiH", No. 75/20, published on November 20, 2020) at the proposal of the General Director of the Institute of metrology of BiH and entity institutions in the Federation of BiH and the Republic of Srpska.
