Within the framework of the bilateral project entitled "Expansion of Capacities and Services of the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina II", implemented in cooperation with the Government of the Czech Republic, the Czech Development Agency (CDA) and the Czech Metrology Institute (CMI), a training was held to meet the general and technical requirements described within the international standard ISO 17034: 2016.
The training was held from 14th to 18th October 2019 at the premises of the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Jekaterina Kromkova and Ing. Jaroslav Mucha, quality systems experts from the Czech Metrology Institute (CMI), appeared as trainers.
This International Standard is intended for the producers of reference materials and certified reference materials used to demonstrate the traceability of test results and validation of test methods in the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, density, ionizing radiation, biology, clinical medicine, forensic testing and more.
The Laboratory of Chemistry of the Institute of Metrology of BiH prepares reference materials in the field of precious metals, forensic alcohol in breath, and in the field of environment, and is currently in the process of preparing to demonstrate competence in accordance with this international standard at the international level through participation in the work of technical the Quality Committee (TCQ) of the EURAMET regional metrology organization and the publication of reference material preparation services in the BIPM database.
