Action Plan was signed between the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IMBiH) and the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BAS) on April 18, 2018.

The Action Plan was based on the Cooperation Agreement between BAS and IMBiH signed on September 20, 2016. The aim of the Agreement and Action Plan is to achieve cooperation in the field of standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and quality infrastructure through joint activities in order to improve the level of security, health and safety of people, quality and protection of environment by acting according to the principles and rules adopted by European and International organizations in the field of standardization and metrology. This will contribute to free movement of goods and services in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to integration processes aimed at accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union.
