Memorandum of business and technical cooperation between the Institute of Metrology of BiH (IMBIH) and Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange (IDDEEA) was signed on July 17, 2018.
This cooperation will primarily focus on providing official and internationally traceable time as a source of precise time which is one of the requirements for verifiers of the electronic signature in the manner regulated by regulations in this field. Institute of Metrology of BiH participates in the realization of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), i.e. the international time scale, and realizes and disseminates the official time in BiH. Within this cooperation, IMBIH will, using its laboratory and personnel, disseminate the official time in BiH necessary for the work of Agency.
The Agency is responsible for setting standards in the field of identification documents, administration and maintenance of servers containing data from central registers, hosting applications through which competent authorities conduct administrative procedures related to the issuance of identity documents, maintenance of data transmission network between institutions at all levels of government and personalization (printing) of identity documents.
In the next period, further activities will be elaborated in detail and their implementation will be arranged on meetings of IDDEEA and IMBIH representatives. The Memorandum was signed by Arif Nanić, Director of IDDEEA and Zijad Džemić, General Director of IMBIH.
