Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Bureau of Metrology of the Republic of Macedonia (BoM) and Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IMBIH) in Skopje, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia on August 27, 2018. The Memorandum was signed by directors of these institutions, Merita Mustafi and Zijad Džemić.
The Memorandum defines the activities of mutual help in the development of legal and scientific metrology. It focuses on the exchange of experience and information in the field of metrology, technical expertise, and knowledge transfer, organization of seminars, workshops and trainings in specific fields of metrology. The common goal of the Memorandum is to strengthen metrology systems of these two countries.
These two institutions will strive to support each other in regional metrology projects and to initiate bilateral projects of mutual interest. IMBIH and BoM will first work on the realization of EU projects under EURAMET umbrella and regulating the field of volume and flow of non-water liquids. BoM expressed particular interest in introducing medical devices with a measuring function in the field of legal metrology.
