The European Partnership in Metrology project 25RPT03 D4Temp — “Advanced Digital Infrastructure for Harmonized Temperature Metrology” has officially begun. Its mission is to develop a shared, open library of software components and a set of harmonized workflows for temperature measurement and thermometer calibration.
Spanning three years, the initiative brings together a consortium of 17 partners from 14 countries, including national metrology institutes, designated institutes, four universities, and one private company.
The kick‑off meeting was held on June 10–11, 2026, at the TÜBİTAK UME Institute in Gebze, Turkey. Over two days, partners presented their work packages, agreed on a detailed roadmap for the coming months, and clarified how individual technical activities will be integrated into a unified framework.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is represented by the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the University of Banja Luka – Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Their collaboration will focus primarily on section A3.2.3, which addresses the implementation of project results in the form of a software application. This application will automate and streamline the calibration process of platinum resistance thermometers (PRTs), culminating in the issuance of Digital Calibration Certificates (DCCs).
