A representative from the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the QUMPHY M36 project partners’ meeting, organised by NPL. This was the final meeting of the project partners, during which the achieved project results were presented and the final activities required for its formal completion were discussed.

The QUMPHY project focuses on developing methods for quantifying uncertainties related to machine learning (ML) algorithms applied in healthcare, with a special focus on PPG signal analysis. The project includes several planned tasks, such as generating reference datasets using publicly available in vivo and synthetic data, applying different ML models and uncertainty quantification (UQ) methods to analyse PPG signals with associated uncertainty, and developing a good practice guide with an accompanying software repository. The repository will present the models, methods and reference values used in the project and will be publicly available.

The Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in various project activities related to ML methods and data quality. The Institute’s participation in this project contributes to strengthening research capacities in metrology and supports continued international cooperation with European partners. In the coming period, the financial report is planned to be prepared, after which the project will be officially completed. QUMPHY is one of the projects in which the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina participates, and it was proposed within the European Metrology Network for Mathematics and Statistics of EURAMET – MATHMET.
