From 14 to 15 April 2026, a representative of the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IMBIH) participated in the meeting of the Technical Committee for Inorganic Chemistry within the Consultative Committee for Amount of Substance (CCQM-IAWG) at the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) in Paris, France.
During the meeting, completed activities related to participation in intercomparisons and new measurement capabilities (Calibration and Measurement Capabilities – CMC) of member states of the Metre Convention were presented. In 2026, IMBIH acted as a reviewer for eight CMC entries within EURAMET TCMC and twelve within BIPM CCQM. The report was completed, and key information was presented during the meeting.
A protocol for a supplementary intercomparison for the determination of gold content was also presented and approved, and adopted at the CCQM plenary session.
Participants discussed proposals for new key and pilot intercomparisons, with the aim of strengthening international cooperation and enhancing IMBIH participation in future metrological activities, as well as potential registration of new CMCs.
The meeting was attended by experts from national metrology institutes from more than 40 countries, including the United States of America, France, Germany, China, and other member states of the Metre Convention.
