The Director of the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IMBiH) and the Assistant Director for Scientific Metrology visited the National Metrology Institute of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK UME) on 12–13 May, at the invitation of the Institute’s Director, with the aim of further strengthening the existing bilateral cooperation.

During the two-day visit, they were hosted by the Director of UME, Mr. Mustafa Cetinaş. The meeting provided detailed presentations of UME’s laboratory infrastructure, ongoing institutional activities, cooperation with international organizations, and opportunities for further strengthening cooperation with IMBiH.

Participants reviewed previous joint activities, identified areas of mutual interest, and discussed future project opportunities. It was agreed to renew the Memorandum of Understanding between IMBiH and UME and to develop an action plan with clearly defined objectives in specific areas of metrology.

During the visit, the delegation toured UME’s reference laboratories, including the new Quantum Metrology building, and was introduced to the Institute’s expanded capacities and ongoing research activities.
