IMBIH visit to the accredited calibration laboratory Orao a.d. Bijeljina

On 18.11.2025. on behalf of the Institute for Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IMBIH), a visit was organized to the accredited calibration laboratory Orao a.d. Bijeljina. The meeting was attended by Šejla Ališić, Assistant Director for Industrial Metrology at IMBIH, while on behalf of the Orao a.d. Bijeljina laboratory were present, Biljana Petrić, Head of the Laboratory Unit, Vastimir Gluhović, Head of the Metrology Laboratory Sector, as well as other heads of individual laboratories for different sizes. 

The topic of the meeting was ensuring the traceability of measurements in BiH through national measurement standards of IMBIH laboratories that have proven their competence in accordance with the Mutual Recognition Agreement of the International Committee for Weights and Measures (CIPM MRA), i.e. whose calibration and measurement capabilities (CMC) are internationally recognized and published in the Key Comparison Database of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM KCDB). Orao a.d. Bijeljina is a long-standing accredited calibration laboratory in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a large scope of work and is an important partner of IMBIH in the dissemination of measurement units and ensuring traceability of measurements in BiH. During the meeting, the improvement and expansion of the provision of calibration services by IMBIH laboratories, the Orao a.d. Bijeljina laboratory, and plans for organizing interlaboratory comparisons (ILCs), through which IMBIH provides support in proving calibration and measurement capabilities to calibration laboratories in the accreditation process, were discussed.
