The M9 progress meeting took place in Paris at the Laboratoire national de métrologie et d'essais (LNE) as a two-day event from Wednesday, 20th March, to Thursday, 21st March.
This project stands for developing measures to quantify the uncertainties associated with machine learning (ML) algorithms that are applied to medical problems. In particular, the PPG signals will be analysed and processed. In order to challenge these issues, the following tasks are planning to be addressed: (i) benchmark datasets will be generated using publicly available in vivo, and synthetic data (ii) different ML models and uncertainty quantification (UQ) methods will be used to analyse the PPG signals with the associated uncertainty and (iii) a good practice guide with accompanying software repository showcasing the used models, methods and benchmarks will be developed and made publicly available.
Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IMBIH) works actively in the above-mentioned challenges together with colleagues from the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) through the project activities.
