The EURAMET TC M annual meeting was held in Brussels, from 19 to 21 September 2023. The organizer was SMD, the national metrology institute of Belgium.
The meeting included a large number of participants from national metrology institutes and designated institutes of EURAMET member states, as well as guests from other regional organizations.
Subcommittees for Mass, Pressure, Force, Density and Viscosity, Gravity, as well as Hardness Working Group and Digitization Working Group and contact person meeting of TC M committee were held in Brussel.
IMBiH representatives participated in the subcommittees of mass, pressure and density and attended the working group for hardness, as well as the meeting of contact persons.
The session for the EMPIR 19RPT02 RealMass project "Improving the realization of the mass scale", which was of open type, had great attention of the participants. At this session, as well as at the subcommittee, presentations were held regarding this project: Overview of RealMass project and results (CMI Progress of Pilot study (Euramet project 1556) (IMBiH and BEV), and Software for dissemination of unit of mass (INRIM) The participants expressed their interest in the RealMass Software, which will be publicly available after the completion of the project.
Also, a meeting was held regarding further work on the results of the RhoLiq project in which IMBIH participated, and it refers to the preparation of the final EURAMET guidelines.
The importance of EURAMET TC M for EURAMET participants is huge, because intercomparisons are agreed upon to prove competence in the area of mass and related quantities, and current projects and proposals and ideas for new projects are presented.
This TC M gave significant emphasis to digitization in the field of metrology, and announced the Call 2024 on the scope of Digitization.
