The acting director of the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina visited the Directorate for Measurements and Precious Metals (DMDM) in Belgrade, where she met with the director of DMDM ​​Čedomir Belić. During the visit, productive discussions were held on numerous bilateral projects and opportunities for future cooperation, all aimed at mutual support in strengthening the capacities of both institutions. The focus of the discussion was the improvement of the measurement capabilities of the existing laboratories and the improvement of the quality of the measurement services provided by both institutions. The importance of harmonizing national measurement systems was emphasized to ensure international recognition and trust in measurement results. Also, one of the topics was the possibility of joint research projects and the exchange of experts to improve measurement methods and metrology infrastructure. Both institutions expressed their willingness to actively participate in the development and application of metrology standards that will contribute to the better functioning of the market and consumer protection. This visit is an important step towards strengthening cooperation between these two institutions, whose leadership is aware of the importance of exchanging knowledge, experience, and resources to achieve sustainable progress in the field of metrology and support economic development.

As part of the visit, the director of IMBIH had the opportunity to visit some of the national laboratories within the DMDM, during which she learned about the measuring capabilities and infrastructure of these laboratories and met experts in the field of metrology and precious metals. The exchange of experiences and ideas was a key part of the visit, all with the aim of improving the quality of measurements and establishing high standards in the field of metrology.
