On March 29 and 30, 2023, a regional meeting related to the strengthening of regional economic cooperation and integration between CEFTA countries was held in Budva, in which a representative of the Institute of Metrology of BiH participated.
Implementation of the Project “EU4Business: Support to Regional Economic Integration” is done by GIZ GmbH and it is jointly supported by the European Commission and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The Project aims to strengthen regional economic integration among the CEFTA Parties by supporting the implementation of the Common Regional Market Action Plan in the field of quality infrastructure (QI) and e-commerce. More specifically, the QI component of the project is designed to provide support to the CEFTA Parties in strengthening core aspects of the quality infrastructure systems in line with the EU acquis, to stimulate the free movement of industrial goods, and to ensure fair competition and consumer protection through an improved market surveillance system.
The meeting provides an opportunity to share and discuss the main findings of the realized assessment on the readiness of QI institutions (metrology, standardization, accreditation, market surveillance) by means of supporting conformity assessment bodies and manufacturers in the procedures of evaluation of conformity of the electrical products covered by LVD and EMC Directives.
